When booking with us, you agree that you have read and agreed with the following terms and conditions. Please contact us for more information.

1. 
   It is understood by and between the Family and the Agency that the agency acts as a mediator and at no time will the babysitters be considered employees of the Agency. 
2. The Agency, as a mediator, agrees to obtain applications from persons interested in performing child care services for the Family, to verify information contained on the applications as provided by the child care provider (hereinafter referred to as “Babysitter”), to perform background checks, and to select potential Babysitters for the Family.  The Family agrees that information about the babysitter furnished by the Agency is confidential and is not to be disclosed to any third party.
3. It is understood that the Agency assumes no responsibility for paying or withholding any federal or local taxes, social security contributions, health or car insurance premiums, or any other expense required or arising from the Sitters’ work with the Family. 
4. The Family agrees to provide requested information on members of the Family to the Agency and to share that information with prospective babysitters, who’ll provide the service.  The Family understands that any misstatement of fact or omissions will be communicated to the Babysitter once discovered.  The Agency, as a mediator, reserves the right to deny services at its discretion and alter rates as needed.
5. Barcelona Babysitter, as a mediater, conducts a thorough interview & screening process, however, the Agency does not give any warranty concerning the performance of any babysitter, and it is in no way responsible for any babysitters’ conduct while working for the family.
6. All babysitters must be re-booked and re-engaged through the agency. In the event of a family using a babysitter introduced by Barcelona Babysitter directly, or passing the details of a sitter to third parties, the babysitter will not be allowed to collaborate with the agency again.
7. If you need to cancel a booking please advise us as soon as you can to avoid inconveniencing the babysitter. In the event of a babysitter being cancelled upon arrival, then you will need to pay the going rate for a 3-hour period.
8. If your child has any special needs or requirements (eg. Medical conditions, toilet training requirements, allergies etc.) you are obliged to advise the babysitter immediately. 
9. Payment can be made in CASH (directly to the babysitter at the end of the service) or by CREDIT CARD (in advance) through our website.
10. PAYMENTS BY CARD MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE. If we haven’t received the money 24h before the booking, parents are obliged to pay the babysitter in CASH at the end of the service. Any additional hours are paid to the sitter directly.
11. 
    All bookings are for a minimum of 3 hours and you pay the sitter for any fractions of an hour rounded up to the next half an hour.
12. An extra 15 euro is paid to the babysitter if parents come home at or after midnight so that the babysitter can get home safely in a taxi.
